Hay was an American doctor according to whom carbs and protein should not be combined in one meal. The foods on this list, according to him, are recommendable foods of the carb group. While most of these foods may indeed be considered healthy, there is in fact no scientific evidence that might prove that carbs and protein should not be mixed; in fact, grains contain a considerable amount of protein, too.
