This is a list that my daughter challenged me to create. While doing someone else's challenge, I had stupidly said to her something along the lines of "Golly Gee, I often wonder how much of these books people have actually read before they give themselves permission to tick off the item on a list." Hence the inspiration for this challenge.
Please be scrupulously honest and only check an item if you have read all the fiction content (or ALL the definitions for the OED). Generously, I offer the following concessions. If applicable, you don't have to have read the 'List of Contents', Introduction, Author's Chronology, Appendices, Index or Explanatory Notes for the book to count.
Update 2021.01.30: I think all that I have shown is that people don't read the instructions. As if ~8% of people have read the OED definitions!
