Recommended Reading List for College-Bound High School Students

Doing a little cleaning today I found a very extensive list of books that I typed, printed, and checked off while in high school in the mid-90's. I don't know the source, but this was before I had the internet so maybe from a teacher or librarian? Apparently I didn't check off too many back in 1996 when I graduated, but I think I've made some progress in the last 22 years. What about you? How many have you read from this (rather ancient) mid-90's list?
Note: I just finished typing the list and oh my goodness that a lot of white men. Do better 1996.
