HOME RUNS -- The 400 Club

These 28 players hit at least 400 home runs, but did not reach the 500 plateau. It is probable that if Lou Gehrig had not become terminally ill and forced to retire early, that he would have easily hit the 500 mark. As it was, he finished with 493 in 17 seasons.
Two players in the 400 Club are still active: Adrian Beltre stands at 470 (age 39), and Miguel Cabrera stands at 465 (age 35). Time will tell!
