Hit 1,000 movies watched for the year this month--Devil's Island, with Boris Karloff, was the movie that rolled over the odometer
This month's recommendations: The Big Short; Dead Calm; The Diving Bell and the Butterfly; Down by Law; Elizabeth; Kes; Last Exit to Brooklyn; Rome Open City; the Samurai trilogy; Westfront 1918... and Wings of Desire just absolutely blew me away. I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I can not recommend it highly enough. I watched it on Nov 30th, just a few hours ago as I type this, and I *already* want to watch it again.
