Second Quarter 2022 - Page 3

A few less books in the second quarter than the first, though a lot more 800+ pages, so I suppose it evens out.
A few re-reads (Discworlds, Jodi Taylor, Robert Jordan), but mostly new-to-me, and very much a mixed bag.
Some personal achievements: Completed my first read of 'In Search of Lost time'. There will be re-reads!
Completed my goal of reading all George Orwell's novels (a LOT of non-fiction left to read still)
Joyous discoveries: 'Pillars of the Earth' may not be the most groundbreaking literary achievement, but it was so *very* readable!
Turns out that I don't hate everything Paul Auster has ever done. '4 3 2 1' was fantastic.
'Perdido street station' was all kinds of fun!
'Orphan X' has now put yet another series on my TBR.
I can't wait to get my hands on more Philip Roth!
Not so joyous:
'Parade's end' was an interminable slog. Not looking forward to Ford's other work now...
I still loathe and detest Rabbit Angstrom.
