Favourite Books Read in the Last Quarter of a Century

These are some of my favourite books that I've read since the millennium. Some very mainstream, others not. Fiction, non fiction, poetry, graphic novels. With all of these, they instantly take me back to a moment in time when I read it. Some may not be brilliant books but they were important to me because of what was happening in my life at the time. And sometimes, when things are bad, a little escapism is exactly what you need.
