(Yet Another) Best Books of (A Quarter Of) the 21st Century

This list shares eleven of its entries with the NYT list and seven with the NYT Readers' list, so I at least can't be faulted for lack of creativity in that regard. I also adhered to stricter rules (only one book per author and minimal time traveling via translated into English editions), else this would've looked a tad different.
Also, folks are aware that the 21st century doesn't technically start till 2001, right?
