Perhaps the slightest month of film viewing I've done in a long time. Truth is, once the school year ended, I was more interested in exploring TV series. As such, most of what I watched had more to do with TV than film. Still some high quality films, though. I rewatched "My Neighbor Totoro" (1988) with my brother. This viewing confirmed that it is one of my favorite films ever made. Miyazaki at his most charming and endearing.
The best film I saw for the first time this month was "The Killers" (1946). A great noir film and an early example of Burt Lancaster's star power.
Disclaimer: I only saw the first part of The Hour of the Furnaces (1968) this month, it is likely to appear again in the future when I complete all three parts.
