Focuses this year include hot-off-the-shelf lit, continuing philosophy, Renaissance/late medieval Europe, widening African works, Russian culture, American South, smattering of Latin American authors, art, innovative critical nonfiction ... not as globally balanced as would like, but several lesser-known gems included.
