The Irresistible Rise of the Teachers and Students of English Literature

When choosing your next book to read, consider using as your guide those who are passionate & knowledgeable about books, namely teachers of English & those who majored in English literature. I used the most relevant & popular challenges with "English" in the title (especially those below). By relevant I mean the books on the challenge are the publishers' favourites or recommendations. Most books were on 2 or more lists.
Regrettably I couldn't devise a way of including the items in the "English Cream Tea Classics" challenge. BTW, of the last 2 icons on the list, one is real (made by me) and the other is a poorly made imitation. Can you tell them apart? It might make you chuckle.
