U.S. Route 9 is a north-south highway in the northeastern United States, spanning 522.73 miles through 3 states from Laurel, Delaware north along the New Jersey coast and eastern New York state to the Canadian border at Champlain, New York. It is one of only two U.S. highways with a ferry connection (between Lewes, Delaware and Cape May, New Jersey), the other being U.S. Route 10.
