Ian Rogers writes: "As a writer of horror fiction, people are always asking me where I get my ideas. It's the polite way of saying, Just how fucked up are you?
I always tell them the truth: I had a pretty normal childhood, but I watched A LOT of horror movies. Slasher flicks like Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street (although I much preferred outlier entries like The Burning and My Bloody Valentine), ghost stories like The Changeling and Lady in White, body horror f/x fests like The Fly and Videodrome, and monster movies like The Thing and The Blob. I was so soaked in blood and guts I could have given Carrie White a run for her money.
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to write horror stories of my own. It was a goal I pursued over the years and finally achieved with the publication of my first book, a collection of horror fiction called Every House Is Haunted."
