The Greatest Books: A Source List

This is one of the 122 "best of" book lists used to compile the master list at thegreatestbooks.org. It is a wide-ranging assortment of novels, short stories, plays, poetry and children's works. The items are conventional books despite it being based on Russ Kick's 3-volume "The Graphic Canon". Unlike that book, individual short works (eg poems) have been subsumed into collections to conform to the requirements of thegreatestbooks.org. I have altered the list order very slightly.
The List Image graphically demonstrates the heaviest users of The Greatest Books website (numerically USA 45.9%, India 8.3%, Canada 6.6%).
Thanks to Lorenza who published a version of this list in 2016, in which poems were detailed individually rather than as collections.
