The Byrd Theatre (Richmond VA) Family Classics Presents the Kids Are Heroes Collection

How many of us, while stuck at home with the kids, remember watching Saturday matinee movies on rainy afternoons. The best ones seemed to be the ones where the kids were the heroes; solving crimes, defying authority, using imagination, magic powers, and persevering despite the odds. The Byrd Theatre airs similar films on Saturday mornings - here are some of their favorites. These were selected by Naomi Walker, the Education Director for Cinema/Chicago and native of Richmond VA.
