North American Birds: ABA Code 5

For its checklist, the American Birding Association assigns a code number for each bird that has been recorded in North America; generally speaking, the higher the code number, the rarer the bird. As defined by the ABA on its website, code 5 birds are "species that are recorded five or fewer times in the ABA Checklist Area, or fewer than three records in the past 30 years." In other words, except for the practically un-findable Code 6 species, Code 5 birds are the hardest species to find on this continent. I've not seen any of these birds myself, but more traveled birders probably have, either here in North America or elsewhere.
