Movies/TV Directed by Women That Alma B. Watched on 2016

At the end of last year, an article was posted in the Gender Studies Institute Facebook group with a challenge for 2016 to watch fifty-two (52) films directed by women. That's one film each week. It was agreed that some members of the group would take on the challenge if we could modify it to twenty (20) films/tv shows. I decided to follow suit. I primarily chose tv series as it is easier for me to take aside an hour at a time to watch tv than longer periods and I hate stopping films half way. I have really enjoyed watching these. I re-watched a couple of my favourite series, like Gilmore Girls and Star Trek:Voyager as I hadn't seen them completely. I also re-watched the Matrix Trilogy (Matrix being one of my favourite films of all times) because I thought the Wachowski sisters needed to be part of this list. Some of these, like Voyager and Bletchley Circle, are co-directed with men, but they are too good not to mention. The titles are listed in the order in which I watched them.
