This year, I was challenged to watch 20 movies directed by women I had never seen before. I have to say, I'm really happy I was put up to this, as it got me to pick up movies I usually scroll past on Netflix or put off to watch later. I feel like I've really expanded my film palette and the types of movies I'm now interested in.
I tried to see things in lots of different genres, so there's comedies, dramas, documentaries, propaganda, and even a couple I have no idea how to classify.
I should probably point out that I totally cheated with City of God, since it is technically co-directed by Katia Lund.
