Movies That Played in Toronto Sept. 17-Dec. 1993
I started keeping track of movies in high school, thought I'd list them year by year. Next list will be for a full year. Lots of interesting titles -early offerings from DiCaprio, McConaughy, Crowe & Ryan Reynolds, Patrick Dempsey before McDreamy, Mr. T as a bearded lady(Seriously! See "Freaked"), one of Christopher Reeve's last films before his accident, Macaulay Culkin doing ballet & River Phoenix's last completed film. Some Canadian(of course) & foreign films, a couple of documentaries. Yep, the last few months of 1993 were interesting. 2 titles I couldn't find-"Waitress"(a CBC documentary) & "Human Target" which played in Toronto in October of 1993. May be Lorenzo Lamas film "Final Round", but don't know for sure. Recommendations: Avoid the steaming pile of dino doo "Carnosaur"(hope Diane Ladd got a big paycheck), check out "Striking Distance" with Bruce Willis. The car/motorcycle chase at the beginning is one of the best ever. Anyways, let's tke a trip down memory lane.
