I'm working to become a filmmaker myself, and part of that includes studying other movies. These are movies I've watched, and then analyzed, in my film school classes. I'd already seen most of them before I watched them in class (including Schindler's List, Pan's Labyrinth, The Seventh Seal, and 2001: A Space Odyssey), but the class helped me discover more classics like Rashomon and Princess Mononoke. That said, I wasn't a fan of Romeo + Juliet.
On a separate note, we watched the documentary "This Changes Everything" to examine the role actors play in the overall filmmaking process.
Hope you enjoy!
