Blunderman's Film School: Special Effects

Today's film industry is, admittedly, overblown in the Special Effects department. However, it still plays a part in the overall scope and spectacle of the finished product. Here, now, are 20 films that make great use of the department. Many are the films which established the use of Special and Visual Effects in films, and they used practical effects rather than overused CGI. It is important to study these films in our "Film School" series, as an understanding of film as a whole.
