"Just a Comic"

Graphic novels are more accepted as a valid art form than ever before, but still, there are people who turn their noses up at comics, who'll say things like, "I eventually learned to read books WITHOUT pictures." While those people are quickly lambasted, I don't believe that's the solution; I believe a better way is to show them graphic novels that tell a deep story, use the format to do extraordinary things, and prove that a graphic novel can be just much art as your average classic novel. At the very least, it'll show that comics come in a variety of genres, not just action/adventure (those are well and good, it's just not the only option).
