How Many Women Writers of Horror Have You Read?

It's Women in Horror Month! This is the time of year where horror lovers celebrate the creative women of the horror genre, and it's a great time to recognize women writers of horror, supernatural, and Gothic fiction. In addition to authors you may already know, there are some who have hidden themselves in plain sight. Below are books by 55 women who have contributed to the horror genre. There's just one book for each of them, so you may have read other books by the same person instead, and that's okay. This is just a quick check you can do to see how many women writers you've read, and there are so many I ran out of time to include... if there are some you haven't read I encourage you to look them up and read some of their work this month, and if you think I missed something obvious, feel free to comment!
