Goodreads [We] "Should Probably Read This Sometime" - Now 16.5 Times Longer & the Reason Why!

A special treat for you, to celebrate my 745th book challenge.
"For the books you've been recommended, seen advertised or read everywhere, or that are just a classic, but you haven't gotten to yet." (Goodreads)
So why did I add so many books? Apart from giving you a much 'meatier' challenge, I was also enjoying how the type of works were changing over the length of the list. At the outset, there are lots of books that were required reading at school or are the type you might read nowadays for spiritual and intellectual nourishment. Towards the end, the books are trending towards those you wish had been assigned as school reading, or you now read for adventure, mystery, thrills and fun. Do you agree?
Generally, 2 or more votes to be included. I didn't include about 15% of the entries on the Goodreads list, as I have honed my skills at detecting bogus book ratings.
