Goodreads "Quality Dark Fiction" 2021 Update - Now 4.44 Times as Long

This dark challenge is mostly sinister & ghoulish, but is also amusing at times, given some of the entries.
According to Alan Baxter, the Goodreads author who originally compiled this list, "my novels are dark fantasy thrillers, so I thought I'd make a list with quality dark fiction, particularly dark genre fiction and include books that have appealed to me or that have inspired my writing over the years."
BTW, is 444 (the length of this list) supposed to be a special number like 666?
Only books with 2000+ ratings and 3+ votes were included. A few partially overlapping titles have been retained.
