CBR's 10 Best Animated Episodes of Live-Action Shows

From time to time, showrunners of live-action TV projects feel the need to offer fans something different in order to keep things interesting. Sometimes a slight genre change does the trick. On other occasions, creators prefer to use the tried-and-true flashback episode technique.

However, one thing that's always guaranteed to impress fans or trigger a discussion is a temporary switch to animation. Since such episodes normally insert the characters in unusual circumstances or habitats, making them appear in animated form is always sensible. Several episodes in this vein have been produced over the past few years, but a few remain iconic to this day.
