Catching Up With the Classics: 100 Novels (And Stories) Jim Actually HAS Read

100 Classic works of fiction (novels and story collections) I actually HAVE read in my ongoing attempt to become "well read". All those plays and scripts I read, studied, directed, acted in, stage managed, and/or worked tech on took up a lot of my life, which left me a little deficient in the literature department. Since I also taught English, I've worked hard to fix this deficiency. I tried to limit this list to classic and modern classic literary fiction but some mystery, crime, horror, fantasy, and Science Fiction have worked their way on to it. Still, if Penguin calls them classics, who am I to argue?
