Annie's . . . Poached Trout Meal

Another of Annie's random meal lists, this one being what we ate on the evening of 04/04/25.
Being a Friday it was a fish meal, my husband had suggested trout, and I chose to poach it.
The poaching liquid was created using water, wine, bay leaves, salted butter, red onions, lime zest, parsley, dill, tarragon and ground mixed peppercorns.
The potatoes were buttered and air-fried.
Tenderstem broccoli, watercress, baby spinach, rocket and baby tomatoes were served as accompaniments.
Of course, you should always serve bread and butter with fresh fish in case of stray bones - if you swallow any bones, eating bread immediately ensures the bone does not get stuck.
Bon Appetit!
