Somehow, Y2K seems like forever ago and also just like yesterday. It's the decade when the first iPod debuted, Britney Spears and her snake performed at the VMAs, a whole bunch of new reality TV shows came out, and Beyoncé went ~solo~. It was truly the golden age of pop culture and some...um, interesting fashion trends that I may (or may not) be glad to see making a comeback.
Despite my feelings about low-rise jeans and wearing pants under dresses, I think we can all agree that the movies released during the 2000s did NOT disappoint. I mean, the entertainment back then was never lacking. From throwback comedy movies that'll always make you laugh to memorable rom-coms that made you wish you were a 20-something downing an extra dirty martini, the best 2000s movies are perfect for rewatching over and over.
I don't mean to be dramatic when I say that most of the movies on this list are downright iconic (I mean, hello, Mean Girls *and* Legally Blonde?!).
