100 Great Genre Novels by Women

Actually 95 novels and 5 series , because I could not winnow the series down to 4 books or less. Also of note: a) Laura Lippmann also had a successful series featuring P.I. Tess Monaghan, but I prefer her stand-alone novels; and , b) Barbara Vine is actually Ruth Rendell, whose Inspector Wexford novels are also quite good. Finally, P.D. James could be represented by her marvelous Adam Dagliesh novels, but I have chosen 2 others I am particularly fond of.
