For those surprised to see USA on this list that's because they finished third in 1930. In addition, the lost a controversial match to Germany in 02 quarterfinal 1-0. They were also the host in 1994 where they lost 1-0 to Brazil in Palo Alto where myself & couple of college buddies had a watch party right by the stadium.
