Video Nasties is a term for films that were banned in the UK during the 80's and 90's. They were thought to be too damaging for anyone to watch and were confiscated and in the worst cases, people were arrested for possessing these films.
39/72 of these films were part of Section 1, those were the films it was ILLEGAL to own.
33/72 of these films were part of Section 2, films that would be confiscated but no legal action would be taken.
The remaining 82 films were part of Section 3, this was a further list of titles that could be confiscated but were again never technically made illegal.

As of 2018 a handful of these movies are still not available uncut in the UK.
