U.S. Endemic Birds - Page 2

This is a list of all birds that can be found ONLY within the 50 U.S. states. The majority of these birds (29 species) are confined to the Hawaiian islands, but California has two endemics of its own, while Florida and Alaska each have one; the rest are confined to the lower 48 in some way or another. Some of these birds have occasionally strayed to nearby Canada and/or Mexico, but otherwise they are wholly confined to the United States. Note that this list excludes breeding endemics (such as several warblers or sparrows whose migration/winter range extends to Mexico, the Caribbean, or southward), as well as those endemics that have gone extinct (such as many Hawaiian birds as well as continental species like the Carolina Parakeet).
