UK Doom, Stoner, Prog, Hard and Folk, Late 60s to Late 70s
A lot of great bands flew under the radar in the 1970s Britain, recording one or two albums, then disappearing just as quickly as they had appeared. Today the majority is unfairly forgotten. Some never even had a chance to release an album but their archive recordings have survived and have been released by underground labels such as Kissing Spell, Audio Archives. The 1970s underground scene, including hard rock, jazz-rock, progressive and folk bands, was greatly helped by labels such as Transatlantic, Dawn, Deram, Dandelion, Vertigo, Harvest, Charisma, Liberty, and so forth.
