So TSPDT put out a list of the top 250 directors (although I think 100 is sufficient for this list; someone else can go the whole 250 if they've a mind to). What I've done here is to list the directors in the order given by TSPDT, by identifying each director's highest-rated film, also as determined by TSPDT. (This means that many of the films are *way* out of order)
I didn't identify the *directors*--cinephiles will know 80% of them or more by the movies, and hopefully, neophytes and casual fans will enjoy researching and discovering.
