Trilogies With the Weakest Third Movies

Some trilogies save the best movie for last: Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars are just a few examples. Yet, for every successful third movie in a trilogy, there are a dozen that aren't nearly as strong.
The reasons for poor third films are all over the place - a change in characters, a lack of storyline, or in some cases, the film is nothing but a transparent cash grab from the studio.
