Here's a list of places I have not been to before but would love to visit, plus some festivals and activities I want to go to or do and some foods and drinks from South America which I haven't tried before but really want to!
I'm lucky enough to have visited some fantastic places in South America already, e.g. the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Colca Canyon, islands in the Peruvian part of Lake Titicaca, Ilha Grande, the Pantanal, Buenos Aires, Colonia del Sacramento and Salar de Uyuni, so this is why they are not on this list.
I've been to some of the cities listed (e.g. Quito, Cuenca, Rio, Sucre, La Paz, Potosí, Santiago, Arequipa, Lima, Montevideo) but not to the specific attractions or events mentioned.
