Are you burned out of the modern games that all feel the same and hold your hand all the time? Or maybe just looking for a game that you might have missed. This list included all localised (official and fanmade) RPGs from 1979 to Today.
Also I will add all subgenre of RPGs (action, card, tactics, turn based, adventure, ect....) excluding MMOs.
Also:
- If you spot a japanese game title assume there is a fan translation out there. Romhacking.net is a good place to start looking.
- Action-adventure is a single genre, not a mix of action genre and adventure genre. The main difference between action-adventure and role-playing games is that the former feature player characters without any numeric attribute and character development is based on equipment alone.
(Example: Zelda 2 is an RPG but Zelda 1 doesn't fall under the criteria.)
