Top 50 Songs Produced by Sir George Martin

British music producer Sir George Martin (January 3, 1926-March 8, 2016) produced 23 #1 U.S. hits in his lifetime - more than any other producer - and also had the longest span of #1 hits of any producer, stretching 33 years and 11 months, from the Beatles' "I Want To Hold Your Hand" in 1964 to Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997." Because he was closely involved in the making of the Beatles' ("Fab Four") many hits, he was one of several people sometimes referred to as the "Fifth Beatle." This is a list of his 50 biggest hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart; the list comes from the book Billboard's Hottest Hot 100 Hits by Fred Bronson (4th Edition, 2007).
