The Uncommon Reader Challenge - Page 2

Welcome to 'The Uncommon Reader Challenge'. The Uncommon Reader, written by Alan Bennett and published in 2007, is a wonderfully witty, humorous and cult novel with a basic plot that the Queen falls in love with reading, causing unforeseen difficulties and encounters. It's satire at its best. This list lists all the authors/books, in order, which the Queen reads (and in a couple of cases at the outset, Norman, a young gay man who was working in the kitchens but becomes the Queen's reading 'assistant'). For this challenge, I did the following when making my list:
1) If the book only mentions an author, I've used my discretion to decide which book she would most likely have read.
2) In addition to the above, given The Uncommon Reader was published in 2007, I couldn't consider any books published from that year onwards.
So, how many of the late Queen's supposed books she read have you read? Complete The Uncommon Reader Challenge Now!
