The Real Horror Films

Both films "Genocide" (1982) and "The Last Days" (1998) won Academy Awards for Best Documentary, Features.
It is understood that movies must be restrained in the depiction of what happened in towns and concentration camps during World War II. Otherwise, movie directors and producers would be criticized for profiting from other people's suffering.
However after several movies and documentaries are seen, it is clear that more horrendous acts were committed than a mainstream movie would be allowed to show. What is missing is (1) that sadists gravitated to the SS and (2) the full extent of the atrocities.
