The Most Depressing Movies of All Time

Some of the movies on this list are more viscerally depressing, some are more intellectually depressing, but all will ruin your day. I even tried to avoid happy endings if I could. Though there are too many contemporary movies on this list, you should see them all. If something seemingly obvious is missing, it might be because I think it's overrated, but it's probably because I forgot. Or I haven't seen it.Not in order.
