The Films of the Mcdonagh Brothers

John Michael McDonagh and Martin McDonagh are writer/director brothers. Unlike other brothers in the film business, such as the Coen's, they have so far mostly worked independently of each other (Martin has produced some of John's work) but their work is very similar in tone, mostly operating within the black comedy genre and actor Brendan Gleeson is a common collaborator of the pair. They have each directed three feature films, a short each, while John wrote the film Ned Kelly. Martin is also a playwright.
