The Long and the Short of It

I love losing myself in a good doorstopper. If I am reluctant to leave characters after spending 500+ pages with them, that is the mark of a special book. At the same time, I am deeply impressed by authors who can tell a captivating story that sticks with me in 200 pages or less. Here are some examples of books - long and short - I have enjoyed.
