The Films of Roddy McDowall

Andrew Roderick McDowall(September 17, 1928-October 3, 1998) is one of the few child stars to have a successful career as an adult. Science Fiction, Horror, Family, Disaster films-even cartoons-he did it all on both the big & small screens. Films are basically complete from 1941 on, except for maybe a couple of tv movies. The Planet of the Apes tv films are compilations of some of the episodes from the short-lived tv series of 1974. Nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for "Cleopatra"(1963). Won Saturn award for Best Supporting Actor for the original "Fright Night"(1985), & nominated for same award for "Class of 1984"(1982). Also won an emmy & has a star on Hollywood's walk of Fame. Always a class act, he might be the only actor to play villains on 2 different Batman shows-The Bookworm on the 60's Adam West series, & The Mad Hatter on the 90's animated seies.
