The English Teacher's Redemption List: Academia-Approved Stuff He Actually Read - Page 3

Our retired maverick English Teacher was surprised by the reaction to his humiliation list, and thought he should post a list of what he HAS read, lest his readers think he was either a fraud, or an idiot (the jury is still out on that one), or both. So, despite his loathing of the official academic canon and his promotion of genre fiction as an art form, here are 160 academy sanctioned works he has actually read, some more than once. He could have kept going, but he thought that was pushing his luck.
Note: the list is in chronological order from the beginning of lit until 1990. If you feel like you're getting lost in medieval esoterica, just keep going. You'll come out again.
