The English Teacher Looks at Great SF: A Core List

Our maverick English Teacher and genre enthusiast TRIES to come up with 200 core texts in SF. He has attempted to acknowledge historical importance and to represent both different eras and different sub-genres. He does not present this as being in any way definitive; he had to leave out many great works in order to keep to 200 titles. He also acknowledges that this list probably says more about him than it does about SF, but there it is.
