This is the 3rd instalment of my chronology of American fiction. It is a list of novels, novellas & short story collections by American authors published in 1980-1989. It includes Pulitzer Prize, PEN/Faulkner Award & National Book Award winners. There are also several works by Nobel Prize winners.
