A list of all the books I read in 2019 in chronological order.
There were a few standouts for me:
Crime and Punishment (Fyodor Dostoyevsky)
The Elementals (Michael McDowell)
The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat (Oliver Sacks)
Neverwhere (Neil Gaiman)
Nothing to See Here (Kevin Wilson)
Ham on Rye (Charles Bukowski)
Friday Night Lights (Bissinger)
Slaughter House Five (Kurt Vonnegut)
American Pastoral (Philip Roth)
And a couple to stay away from:
Wait, What? (James Ryan) - this is speech, and not a great one at that, stretched out into a book.
Whoever Fights Monsters (Robert K. Ressler) - unreadable. Horribly written and mostly self-aggrandizing, don't waste your time or money.
