Books 1-80 comprise a reading list prepared by philosophy academic Dr Gregory Marks ('dr. greg is historicising' on Twitter). The following explains why reading 5 of these books qualifies you as a bookwormy brainiac*.
Dr Marks chose his 80 books because each book:
1- Communicates theory through fictive devices -- not philosophical fiction, but fictive philosophy.
2- Practices theory outside the confines of the "high" academic style.
3- Occupies the growing intersection between reality, fiction, theory, and fantasy.
AND
4- [He wants] to read it.
The remaining books are works suggested by other Twitter users, as also being fine examples of 'Theory- Fiction'. You'll likely score better with this lot.
Books 1-80 are in chronological order, from 55BC to 2018 and most are from the 1950s onwards (Minima Moralia was published in 1951).
* In practice, 5 was determined to be the barrier score because that's what Markd5928 got on his first attempt. Good on him.
